Alice, The Virtual Reality Play offers an XR theatrical experience that immerses the audience in a virtual landscape, offering them the possibility of tangible, real-time interactions with characters and objects. This production follows in the tradition of immersive theater, elevating the role of the spectator to an unprecedented level: the audience is not simply confined to the role of observer but is instead summoned onto the stage itself, where it is transformed into an active participant. Their choices and actions are integral to the construction of the narrative and the visual tapestry that envelops the unfolding drama.
POSTER
The play is bathed in the writings of Lewis Caroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The play questions the very concept of identity and tackles issues such as the obsession with time, the rules of logic and the absurd.
The rules of the game are revealed at the same time as the main narrative: the audience gradually understand that they are Alice, and that they must, like Lewis Caroll’s heroine, confront the characters they meet. The journey becomes a rite of passage, culminating in a final coronation.
